Short Bio
András Semjén graduated in 1976 at the Budapest University of Economics and Public Administration. He received his CsC degree in Economics in 1997. He has been working in the Institute of Economics of HAS from 1992-1996 as a research fellow, and since 1996 as a senior research fellow. Since 1999 he is an associated professor (part time) at the Eötvös Loránd University, Department of Social Policy & Department of Sociology. His research field covers public finance (taxation), labour economics (economics of education, unemployment), and social policy (pension reform, cash benefits, labour market incentives).
