Short Bio
Daniel Horn graduated at the Budapest University of Economic Sciences at 2002. He continued his studies at the Central European University, first received an MA then a PhD in political science. Between 2002 and 2007 he worked for the National Institute for Public Education, and then spent the year 2007 at the Mannheim Center for European Social Research (MZES). In 2008 he joined the educational research group of the Institute of Economics. He spends the 2012/13 academic year at the European University Institute as a Max Weber fellow. His main research interests are the effectiveness and equity of education, and the impact of the educational institutions on these, in particular. He has taught among others at the Rajk and at the Bibó Colleges for advanced studies. He is also a part time fellow at the department of economics at ELTE.
